Scholarship NIU... Northern Pact Award for Community Service

Recently your high school was sent information regarding Northern Illinois University’s brand new scholarship for incoming freshmen called the Northern Pact Award for Community Service. This scholarship will be awarded to incoming students that have characteristics of our Northern Pact principles. Many of our NIU Huskies take a pledge to instill these principles in their everyday lives: Just, Caring, Open, Disciplined, and Celebrative. We are looking for nominees that are representative of one or more of these principles. The nomination form for this scholarship is attached and the deadline for nominations is January 15, 2011. Scholarships on this list may not be offered again this year, but most of them are. As scholarships become available, information will be placed on the bulletin board outside of the Student Services office. These scholarships are for Kaneland High School seniors only. Please note application deadline will be March 1st . All completed applications are to be turned into the Student Service Office. Student services will print all transcripts for these scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

DEADLINE DATE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 29, 2010

Applications are available for the 2010 Scholarship Program of the

Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.

Many scholarships are available to high school seniors who will be

graduating in the spring of 2010 and attending an accredited institution of

higher learning on a full-time basis in the fall of 2010.

The majority of scholarships require students to reside within the

Community Foundation’s service area, which includes southern Kane

County, the City of Aurora, and Kendall County.

Financial need and academic ability are the basis for most scholarships.

However, a few scholarships do not consider financial status.

Kaneland Knights Athletic Boosters Scholarship

The Kaneland Knights Athletic Boosters would like to announce four $500.00 scholarships being awarded to seniors (two male/two female) who plan on continuing their education. This award will be presented at the senior athletic banquet in May.

Submission of a typewritten 300-500 word essay regarding “lessons learned in victory and defeat” along with a written recommendation from a teacher, coach, counselor, or school administrator, and the application below are due in the Student Services by April 15.

College Athletic Scholarship Info Night was a Great Success!

On Monday night October 27, 2008 Mr. Franklin had his first successful college athletic scholarship information night. For the parents and athletes that attended, please review the interactive POWER POINT attached for all of the IMPORTANT LINKS that were discussed in the presentation. The next meeting will be geared for Freshman and Sophomore, but anyone that missed the first one may attend.
