The ordering and payment is completely online and the only thing the players will be asked to do is bring the merchandise home that you order. Season Opener on Monday, Oct. 29

The 2012 edition of the Harter Middle School Wrestling squad will be unveiled on Monday, October 29 in a home meet with Aurora Jewel. The meet is scheduled to begin around 4:15 and this year's squad appears to be very talented albeit a little on the young side. Please consider supporting the Knights as they begin their season!

Baseketball & Wrestling Mandatory Parent Meeting

There will be a meeting for all parents of middle school wrestlers and basketball players on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the South Gym. This is a mandatory meeting and will allow you the opportunity to formally meet the coaches, and provide a venue for the coaches to explain the rules and expectations for the athletes.

Pictures will be taken on Thursday, Oct. 24 during practice. All players who are on the roster will have their picture taken, regardless of whether they purchase a package.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place next month, and once again the PTO is coordinating a dinner for the teachers and staff. It will be held on Wednesday, November 7 from 5pm - 6pm.

8th Grade Prairie Conference Champs in Volleyball

The 8th Grade Volleyball team despite entering the tournament as a 3 seed, walked away with the championship trophy on Saturday, October 6. The ladies saved their best volleyball of the season for day long tournament on their home courts. The ladies defeated Plano, Yorkville, and Bednarcik to win the Conference Tournament. The win in the semifinals against the Foxes was the first of the season after two previous losses. This group of girls also were Prairie Conference Champions in 7th grade. Congratulations to all of the team members and Coach DeBoer on a great season.
Cross Country Earns Return Trip to Normal

The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed in the IESA Sectional at Yorkville on Saturday, Oct. 6. This was only the second time ever that Kaneland Harter Middle School entered the state tournament series. Katie Moore, a 7th Grader, and Noah Duffy an 8th grader qualified as individuals and will run at the State Tournament in Normal, on Saturday, October 13. The girls team finished 4th out of 14 schools and the boys finished 6th. The girls missed qualifying as a team by a mere 10 points, as the top three teams qualify. Congratulations to all who competed on Saturday as the majority had PR's in their biggest meet of the season. Special thanks to Coach Fredrickson, Coach Frankel and Coach Hoepner for all their work thus far.
